Parsons Hilltop Safari Camps is nestled within the wilderness and undisturbed biodiversity of the bushveld. The unfenced park allows for free roaming wildlife between the Balule Game Reserve and Kruger National Park. Guests can experience the African wildlife with our highly experienced ranger guide on the game drive in an open game vehicle or, if interested, on foot. With no big crowds and plenty of time to soak in the sights, every safari is designed around what you love most - from tracking lions to watching elephants at a waterhole. Come and experience it for yourself, the wild is waiting!
Morning and Afternoon Safaris
Parsons Hilltop Safari Camps offers early morning and late afternoon game drives in an open game vehicle. These drives are led by our experienced ranger guide, giving you the chance to see African wildlife in their natural habitat, from grazing herbivores to the iconic Big Five.
Morning drives include a break for coffee or tea in the peaceful bushveld surroundings, while evening drives allow you to enjoy the magic of a sundowner as the sun sets over the reserve. Two daily guide safari drives are included with your stay.. Game drives are conducted on a shared basis and guests from different bookings may join the same vehicle.
Exclusive use of a safari vehicle can be arranged in advance at an additional charge.
Bush Walks
Parsons Hilltop Safari Camps also offers the chance to experience the bush on foot with a guided bush walk. Led by our highly experienced ranger, these walks provide a unique way to connect with the wilderness and discover the finer details of the bushveld, from animal tracks to fascinating plants.
Bush walks are available on request and give you a chance to explore the bush up close and personal.
Youngster Safari Expedition
Join our experienced field guide for an exciting walk and discovery expedition in the bush! You'll engage in hands-on activities, including plaster Paris creations and an educational activity booklet to take home. Bring your enthusiasm and thirst for knowledge, as we explore the wonders of nature together! Don’t miss out on this unforgettable adventure!
Stargazing
After a full day and a perfect meal in the African Bush, you can gaze at the beauty of the South African stars by night from our main deck.
Whether you're a passionate stargazer or just looking to relax in the peaceful surroundings, the night sky at Parsons Hilltop Safari Camps is the perfect way to end your day in the bush. With the stars lighting up the sky, it’s a magical experience that lets you connect with nature and unwind in the calm of the African wilderness. For the curious, our ranger can tell you all he knows about astronomy.
